All About Me

All About Me

I used to be a pretty average, run of the mill, standard issue woman trying to figure out life in suburbia and my place in it.

Then I started unschooling about 5 years ago, and things got a little crazy! Crazy good!

All of a sudden, by giving my kids trust, freedom, a personal voice, and the power to make their lives their own; the world opened up for me as well.

Former hoarder who has since given away most of the contents in my 5,000 sq. foot house. And for the price we sold it, I pretty much gave the house away, too.
Former math hater who has since learned to love numbers…even though they still frustrate me. Math is beautiful!
Former rule follower who now loves to push the boundaries a little. Or, a lot!
Former control freak who has learned to live and let go.
Former stress case who has learned the importance of play.

I advocate for:
play!
positive and attached parenting
whole learning
unschooling
photography
pancakes for dinner
video games as valuable learning tools
mindfulness
simplifying
